Overcoming Difficult Trials

Dear Reader,

I am one who was kissed on the cheek by death and then sent back to earth by our loving Savior, Jesus Christ.  If you had a similar experience, than I know you will understand the anguish and longing I have for my Heavenly home.  No, I am not depressed or suicidal.  I simply LONG for my Heavenly home.

When I was young, before I was BORN AGAIN, I had this fear of dying.  The thought of existing forever and ever and ever sent me into a panic.  I believed in God and Heaven, but the concept of a perpetual home and existence was more than my mind could comprehend.

Now, I can say that the “Sting of Death” has lessened.  Yes, I was anxious at my recent MRI and fearful that the brain tumor had returned.  I am not saying that I want to die.  I think it is human nature to fight for life.  What I am saying is this:  when it is my appointed time to pass from this existence into the next I think and hope that I will be at peace.  The fear of the unknown is gone.

If you or a loved one is facing death please remember these promises.
1) There is a Heaven and a place for eternal living
2) There are no more tears, sorrow, or pain in Heaven
3) God is with us every step of our life journey
4) We have a set amount of days to live
5) The sufferings we experience here on earth are not worth comparing to the glory, which will be revealed in us one day.
6) We can do all things through Him who gives us strength

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever(Psalm 23:6)

One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple(Psalm 27:4)

The LORD knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever.(Psalm 37:18)

And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.(Romans 8:17-18)

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.John 5:24

Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them. They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat. For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes. (Revelation 7:15-17)
