Overcoming Difficult Trials

Prayer is a wonderful gift. At the drop of a hat we can be standing in the throne room of God. He is never going to put us on call waiting. He hears our cries immediately. He may not answer our prayers in OUR time but they will be answered, one way or another.

We need to remember there is spiritual warfare affecting us at times. Prayers can be delayed. Don’t forget to pray for a hedge of protection around you or those you love.

Daniel 10:10-13
A hand touched me and set me trembling on my hands and knees. He said, “Daniel, you who are highly esteemed, consider carefully the words I am about to speak to you, and stand up, for I have now been sent to you.” And when he said this to me, I stood up trembling.

Then he continued, “Do not be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them. But the prince of the Persian kingdom resisted me twenty-one days. Then Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, because I was detained there with the king of Persia.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (NIV1984)
Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

  1. Thanks for visiting my site. From your posts I know you already know that through the trials we must preserve, we must endure in His name. It is also through the trials He sets us apart. I have learned not to look for what tomorrow will be about but to live out in the moment for Him because no matter what is going on in my life, wherever I am today, is exactly where He wants me to be. It is His guidance, His love and His work. So, we trust and keep a steadfast walk while glorifying Him. Hang in there my dear sister in Christ,
    M. J. Andre

This is so true! It is important to thank God for his answer, even if he hasn’t answered yet. It is an act of faith that is a testimony in the heavenlies, before all of the devil’s forces.

    • Thank you for the comment Denaye. I never thought about how it was a bit of a snub to the devil when we thank God for
prayers answered, before they really are.

  8. this is so true we battle everyday we just need the right weapons. 🙂

    • Thank you for you post. We should be putting on our spiritual armor every day. It does us well to memorize the scripture
      Ephesians 6:10-18 (NIV)

      The Armor of God
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.

  9. Am grateful for this reminder not to try to get through today without an alliance with God. Thank-you.

    • Dear Ms Happy,
I am glad the reminder was helpful. Isn’t it funny how we are tested when we write, say, or discuss something of spiritual significance? My Bosco is sick and I am only now praying for a hedge of protection around him.
