Overcoming Difficult Trials

Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.

Dear Reader,
I have memorized this verse because it reminds me that I must be sure of unseen things promised in the Word of God. I hope for eternal life where there is no more sorrow, tears, or pain. I believe this even though I have never visited heaven. This is faith.

We should never loose hope. God still performs miracles today. “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” (Hebrews 13:8)

I am not talking about this: “If I pray that my loved one will be healed,it will happen.” You must have the faith that God is able to heal and will do so, IF it is HIS will. Our motives must be pure so praying that you will win the lottery might not be the most productive prayer.

So we are always of good courage. We know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord, for we walk by faith, not by sight.

    • Thank you for the reblog. I find humor is great medicine. I never want to pour salt into the open wounds of the depressed, but having been one of the depressed, I always appreciated something that made me smile.

  1. Thanks for sharing the cartoon. A cute and nice reminder about faith. I think it is God at work. The pastor at church was sharing about faith, and I clicked on a few of the blogs I follow, and many of them were on faith…

  2. Very cool. God often speaks to us and then confirms things. I hope His message to you about Faith is loud and clear.
