Blog Of The Year Award 2012

Dear Readers of Weeping Into Dancing,

Really, this was a surprise.  This is the second nomination I have received in the past 2 months since starting this blog.  I didn’t even know there was such a thing as a blog award or recognition.  That is not why I write.  However, I am encouraged that people are not only finding  WEEPING INTO DANCING but getting encouraged by it as well.  It gives me great joy to comfort others with the comfort I have been given by my dear Lord, Jesus Christ.  I am thankful that my posts are received with the honesty, integrity, sincerity, and love that is in my heart when I write them.

So, with that said, I want to thank Donkey Whisperer Farm Blog

YOU MAY ASK….. HOW HAS BLOGGING HELPED ME….
Since my brain tumor left me unable to read (even the mail), it has been a blessing to write again.  I read scriptures and bible studies and they inspire me to write words of encouragement.  I think the Lord wants me to perfect gifts (encouragement, words of knowledge and wisdom, joy of praying) He has given to me by writing and eventually…..public speaking?  In the past I have written a scripture or a word of encouragement on a note and handed it to a person God had laid on my heart. I think by blogging, He is able to minister to more people.  This blog has helped me to exercise my obedience to God, turn my fears and weaknesses into strengths (I hate public attention), and fulfill my desire to be of service to God.

I just bought a victorian locket.  I plan on inscribing my 4 LIFE VERSES on it and reciting the memorized verses daily.  I picked a beautiful item as I am beautiful in God’s eye, a gift shall we say? I know there are many who visit this blog who don’t see themselves as beautiful.  The think is GOD MAKES ALL THINGS BEAUTIFUL IN HIS TIME.  We are perfect in His sight as He sees us as we WILL BE and not as we are now.  At the age of 51, I am FINALLY starting to see my beauty.  The inner beauty of living a life after Christ in now apparent in my eyes when a photo is taken.  I don’t shudder when people want to take my picture any more.  I am what God created me to be.

My Life Verses are…..

Phil 4:6-7
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
**I think I confided that I am a worrier by nature and that God is trying to break me of this habit.

James 1:1-5 (NIV)                                                                                                  James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, To the twelve tribes scattered among the nations: Greetings(Chairein=Joy to You!) Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds,  because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.  Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.                                                                                                   **This verse came out of my years of suffering, because of the brain tumor.

Jeremiah 29:11-13 (NIV)
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.  Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”
**This is the scripture that I am living right now.  My future is so up in the air as far of career and service.  Money has never been tighter and living day by day has been difficult. I am trusting God in His promise to give me a hope and a future and that His plans are to prosper me, not harm.  The brain tumor was the means to give me that future and that hope of prosperity.

ISAIAH 50:4
“The Sovereign LORD has given me an instructed tongue, to know the word that sustains the weary. He wakens me morning by morning, wakens my ear to listen like one being taught.”
**The Lord gave me this life verse about 25 years ago but I pretty much denied it.  Only recently do I see that He has given me the ability to find scriptures and use them to edify and encourage His people.  It is nothing I do on my own, but only by His leading and grace.

Here is instructions for the Blog Of The Year 2012

As you can see there is one gold star with the possibility of six in total.

The ‘rules’ for this award are simple:

1 Select the blog(s) you think deserve the ‘Blog of the Year 2012’ Award

2 Write a blog post and tell us about the blog(s) you have chosen – there’s no minimum or maximum number of blogs required – and ‘present’ them with their award.

3 Please include a link back to this page ‘Blog of the Year 2012’ Award – http://thethoughtpalette.co.uk/our-awards/blog-of-the-year-2012-award/   and include these ‘rules’ in your post (please don’t alter the rules or the badges!)

4 Let the blog(s) you have chosen know that you have given them this award and share the ‘rules’ with them

5 You can now also join our Facebook group – click ‘like’ on this page ‘Blog of the Year 2012’ Award Facebook group and then you can share your blog with an even wider audience

6 As a winner of the award – please add a link back to the blog that presented you with the award – and then proudly display the award on your blog and sidebar … and start collecting stars…

6 stars image

Yes – that’s right – there are stars to collect!

Unlike other awards which you can only add to your blog once – this award is different!

When you begin you will receive the ‘1 star’ award – and every time you are given the award by another blog – you can add another star!

There are a total of 6 stars to collect.

Which means that you can check out your favourite blogs – and even if they have already been given the award by someone else – you can still bestow it on them again and help them to reach the maximum 6 stars!

  1. Congratulations! Well-deserved recognition.

  2. Well Genevieve, thanks. I am not doing this for any award and I don’t think I will post any more nominations as I want the glory to always go to God. It is affirming to know the Lord is using me to help others. THAT is my award!

  3. Congratulations, Cheryl. I’m blessed every time I read your blog. Keep going…:)

  4. Ms Cloud, You are always an encouragement to ME. I think of you often. I hope your mom is doing ok. I just spent 4 days with my mom and was aware of how precious my time with her is, she is getting on in years.

  5. congratulations on your award – and thank you for passing it on to other great blogs – off to have a read of your blog now!
(The Jeremiah verse is one of my life verses too – a great one to hang on to!)

  6. Hi Cheryl,
Thank you so much for the nomination! While I genuinely appreciate this, I do not put any awards on my blogs. I decided some time ago to not display any awards on my 1st blog, and never have on ICB. Just a personal choice. I do appreciate the nomination, it is great to know that others are blessed by what all of us at ICB post.

    Thanks again Cheryl
    Greg
