A MOUNTAIN TOP PERSPECTIVE
When we are in a valley and decide to look up, we will see great and wondrous things. As we wander through our difficult times, looking up will encourage us. Literally, God’s creation will astound us with its beauty. However, more than the beauty we witness by looking up, there is a human desire to move forward and face a challenge. This inner desire to be an overcomer is what gets us through life lessons and losses.
Most people, when they are spiritually strong want a MOUNTAIN TOP experience but they forget how much work is required to get to the summit. Many lessons must be learned along the journey upwards. Tests will be around every twist and turn in the path and decisions of faith will be required. Spiritual muscles should be built up prior to the assent, as God’s strength will be necessary to pass those dangerous chasms.
What if God is calling you to a summit and you don’t want to go, or you don’t feel ready. God has given us free will so you can refuse, but I advise you to go. Lay aside your fear, rebellion, or discouragement ad trust Him. He will give you the strength and provisions needed to make it to the top. He does not ask His children to do anything He deems impossible because, nothing is impossible with God!
Here is something to ponder, Let’s say you have reached the summit. As you look down into the valley, do you see big or small things? Visually I would say the scenery is pretty small from your mountaintop vantage point. Maybe this is because the big things in your valley are now in perspective? Could they have been made smaller with this new view you have from up on high?
Well now, let’s think about this too. God looks down upon His people to see if there are any who understand and actively seeking Him. He has a heavenly view at all things. This is not to say that He does not sympathize with the struggles we are facing down here on earth. It simply means He has things in perspective. What seems impossible for us is possible in His sight.
I pray that the BIG struggles in your valley are put into a Godly perspective and that your assent to the Mountain Top is blessed. As you view the valley with new eyes, I hope the obstacles you were facing seem small considering the strength you have in Christ Jesus. Indeed, all things are possible with Christ by your side.
PHILIPPIANS 4:13 (NIV) I can do all this through Him who gives me strength.
