Overcoming Difficult Trials

It is a scary time that we are living in, especially if Santa things he needs reindeer bodyguards. What about you?  Do you live in fear?  Are you wishing you had your own bodyguards right now?

I admit, I do not always feel as safe in my new big city. Grants Pass was so small and everyone knew each other.  Crime was not a big issue and I often walked my dogs without locking my front door.

The news seems to be full of crime from school shootings, embassy attacks, theft, abandoned babies in dumpsters, and bank robberies.  We are living in a violent time where ethics are questionable and churchgoers are dropping in attendance.

We need to practice discernment and be wise as we walk around our cities.  But remember, we have spiritual armor and angel armies at our disposal.  Our God wants us to cry out to Him whenever we are fearful or in need.  He hears our prayers immediately, along with Jesus who is our constant Intercessor.

Do not let fear rule in your heart.  Fear cripples and hinders the work God has for you to do.  Faith is required to move past fear but allow the Holy Spirit to speak words of discernment, as it is another means of protection from our God.

ISAIAH 41:10 (NIV)                                                                                                       So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

LUKE 4:10 (NIV)                                                                                                         For it is written: “‘He will command his angels concerning you to guard you carefully;
