Overcoming Difficult Trials

If I left the back gate open, my dogs would not stay in the back yard.  They are curious doggies.  However, they have dug under the fence once or twice due to separation anxiety.  I was never gone long and they stayed in the front yard, content to explore but in familiar surroundings.  Thankfully, I was their focus.

If you were given the chance to live like the back gate was left open, what would you do?  Where would you go?  How long would your adventure be and how far away from home would you really travel?  What would you be seeking?

Or, would you be like my dogs?  Would you be waiting by the front door for your master to come home?  Unlike me to my dogs, God never leaves us.  We may leave Him but He is never abandons or forsakes His children.  NEVER!!

Deuteronomy 31:6 (NIV)     Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.

Psalm 38:27 (NIV)     For the LORD loves the just and will not forsake his faithful ones. They will be protected forever, but the offspring of the wicked will be cut off

Luke 15:4 (NIV)     Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Does he not leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it?

Matthew 6:21 (NIV)     For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
