TO FOLLOW: EVERY STEP IS AN ACT OF FAITH?
So Dear Reader,
Let me ask some questions. First in regards to your path, are you on it running fast or are you barely moving at a snail’s pace? Second, who is leading and directing? Do you know who it is? Could it be sin, an idol, hopelessness, despair, you, or is God? Next, have you selected the destination or have you released it to God? Is your destination unknown or is your heart set on a location? Finally, are you certain of that which you do not see? Do you really believe there is a God and do you trust Him with your future and welfare?
Well now, let me give you a minute to reread these questions and soak them in a bit. Meditate on them for minutes. They are not easy ones and I want you to see if you can answer all or some of them.
We are told in Hebrews 11:1 that FAITH is being sure of what we hope for so, what is it that you hope for in life? What are you hoping to happen today and in your future? Does it involve God? Are you hoping for a life that is easy and comfortable, or are you daring enough to believe that with the sunshine some rain must fall.
Hardships are designed to strengthen all of God’s children. We were not given an easy and comfortable life to live down here. We are in training. The easy life ended with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden.
Are you sure of that which you have placed your hopes and in whom your hopes now rest? Is it with God or man? Education and money or trust and hope in your Creator?
Finally, I tell you this: you cannot hold on to hope if you are not certain of God, an invisible Savior who speaks to your heart. If you are not certain of what is not seen how can you believe in eternal life and heaven?
Many of you are living through difficult experiences and struggles. Personally, I could not imagine living through my trials without the faith of knowing an unseen God was leading me on a path of righteousness and healing, all the way to the gates of heaven. I will end as I began this post, asking a question or two……
Do you have enough faith in God to trust that He will see you through your trial, even though the future is unclear to you? What are your hopes for your future? How will you make the rest of your life down hear matter? Do you have a goal or purpose you want to achieve? Will the rest of your days be of sorrow and grief? Or, could you be hoping for a clean start? A new start to learn from your struggle. Could you somehow use the lessons you have learned along your way and help others on their journey?
HEBREWS 11:1 (NIV) Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.
“To learn strong faith is to endure great trials. I have learned my faith by standing firm amid severe testings.” ~ George Mueller
