Overcoming Difficult Trials

EPHESIANS 3:20 (NIV)     Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us,

PSALM 100:4 (NIV)     Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise;
give thanks to Him and praise His name.

Dear Reader,

I was introduced to prayer warriors when I was just a baby Christian.  I was involved with a prayer ministry in my 20’s and 30’s and have had the joy of knowing two prayer partners.  I am hoping that a third one is on the way, now that I am living in Colorado.  I am a firm believer in the POWER OF PRAYER and admire those who live a life in the prayer closet.  Please take time to visit this link, as you will find it very encouraging, just as I did. (By the way, this is my 400th post in 4 months!  Praise God there is an endless supply!)

WHAT CAN TWO OLD LADIES DO??                    http://adverseity.wordpress.com/2013/01/04/what-can-two-old-ladies-do/comment-page-1/#comment-112

I was taught that upon entering into the Throne Room of God, we should offer up praise and adoration for our Creator.  I am sure I am not the only one guilty of running into the Holy of Holies with an urgent prayer request, thus not giving God His due respect and praise.  One of His reasons for creating us is to hear our adoration for Him.  After all, HE REJOICES OVER US WITH SINGING so hmmmmm, shouldn’t we do the same for our loving Father??

Of course there are moments in life where a simple “Help God!!” is all we have time to offer up to Him.  He understands this for certain.  But for the most part, consider if you are giving Him the proper praise and thanks He is due before reciting your long list of needs and complaints.

There are times when you may be unable to express your needs but He hears your heart and understands your thoughts.  He even allows the Holy Spirit to intercede with groans on your behalf. You will not understand their meaning but God can interpret them and send you the help you need.  Therefore, when we pray God hears more than what we say.

God also answers more than what we ask for when we are in prayer.  (Read the link about the two old ladies and you will understand what I mean!!) His love is exceedingly abundant and above all we can ask or pray for in life. He is a generous God and loves to send us gifts that are over the top.  We can’t imagine the wonders He wants to send our way.  Thankfully, He understands the limitations of our minds and sends them anyway.

Now Dear Reader, you may have been praying for something and not yet seen the fruit of your labor.  Don’t give up.  He will answer your prayers in His own time and in His own way.  All of your prayers are heard and answered.

So tonight, when you offer up your nighttime/morning prayer offerings, don’t forget to take some time to praise God and give Him glory.  We serve a wondrous God who wants to know us intimately.  Just think, if you created or made a vase out of clay….. would you want a relationship with it? Would you fall IN LOVE with it to the point of sending your only son to die for it? His love for us is astounding.  He loves us so much that He made us into His very own image.  With that thought, lay aside your worries and burdens for surely you know things will work out; He loves you so very much.  Trust in His love.

Psalm 50:14-15     Offer to God a sacrifice of thanksgiving, and perform Your vows to the Most High, and call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me.”

Psalm 95:2     Let us come into His presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to Him with songs of praise!

“It is not the body’s posture, but the heart’s attitude that counts when we pray.”

  1. when we pray to heal someone should we say if it be your will?

      You asked a good question!! Yes, it is always wise to say,”If it be YOUR will.” God ALWAYS answers prayers, but sometimes not in the way we expect. God has a plan and a purpose for each one of us. We may want a dear one healed but God may choose to refine the dear one by leaving them with their physical ailments. We may want to find a soul mate and marry… but maybe it is God’s plan to give you a single life so you can serve HIM in a different (not better) way.

      • I always thought that way too, but I was told that if it wasn”t God”s will he wouldn’t heal anyway so we shouldn’t question him.
