Overcoming Difficult Trials

1 Peter 4:19  Therefore let those who suffer according to God’s will entrust their souls to a faithful Creator while doing good.

Dear Reader,

When you have been let down by other people, it is very normal to want to be in control.  I am guilty of this problem.  Presently, I am trying to let go of the reins and let God take control in every aspect of my life.  I see the wisdom in this decision especially since I trust in His goodness and love.

If you decide to pursue this same resolution, you will be blessed.  All of the decisions you make on your own, without God’s advice and leading, are usually met with a dead end sign.  Am I correct?  Or maybe God allows you to walk past the dead end sign and right into danger or despair.  We do after all have free choice.

If you are a “Wounded Soldier” for the army of God, rest and pray.  His healing hands will touch your wounds.  You will be restored.  He will not send you back out into battle before you are ready….. unless you choose to ignore Him and take matters into your own hands.  Beware of a self-control that takes precedence over your Creator’s bidding.  There are appointed times for prayer and meditation.

If you are an unbeliever and you are searching for peace of mind and rest, God has it waiting for you.  What does it require on your part?  Simple.  Answer these questions.  If you answer yes, you are on your way to a Christian life.  Hold on it’s a wild adventure!

#1     Do you believe in God the Creator of all things?

#2     Do you acknowledge Jesus as the Son of God? Do you acknowledge that He is               the one who died on the cross for your sins and was resurrected on the third day, so that you may be called an adopted child of  God?

#3     Do you believe in the Trinity, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit?

#4     Do you want a personal relationship with God?

If you answered yes, ask God to send the Holy Spirit to you and ask Him for guidance.  Find a church that will teach the scriptures to you and start reading the bible yourself.  You will find the words as food to your hungry spirit.

For the Depressed in Spirit, I ask and pray that God lifts your sadness and replaces your hopelessness with hope.

Dear Reader,

I hope you can set aside your will today and every day for the better and more enriching will of God.  You may find that His will is hard to follow at times but it is worth it.  He loves you and cares for you. May the Holy Spirit align your will with His will now and forever more.
