Overcoming Difficult Trials

Fear Not-Big Teddy

“I do not fear tomorrow because You are already there to protect me.” -Unknown

Deuteronomy 31:8     “The Lord Himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”

Dearest Reader,

Who among you fears the dark?  Maybe you are like me and fear walking alone in the dark?  Is your fear about what tomorrow will bring, or could it just be the unknown and untested? Our fears can paralyze us with doubt and beat us down with worry.  I am sure I am not the only person who suffers from insomnia.

We all suffer from fears but it is with a trust built on our faith in God’s love that we must cast our fears down.  Let the army of God trample your fears as they ride past.  In fact, you should remember that God PROMISES to go before you and be with you.  Never will He leave you. Therefore, with the Almighty Creator you need not fear the dark of night and the things in it.

I do so hope that you can lay aside your fears and rest in the goodness of Christ.  He is the One who leads you, through dark and scary downward slopes and up those dangerous Mountain passes.  He will make you sure footed and He will enable you to face whatever person or event you fear.  Be brave and stouthearted!

2 Samuel 22:3-4      The God of my rock; in Him will I trust: He is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my Savior; Thou saved me from violence. I will call on the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.

Psalm 4:8      I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for Thou, LORD, only makes me dwell in safety.

Psalm 10:14      But You, God, see the trouble of the afflicted; You consider their grief and take it in hand.
The victims commit themselves to You;
You are the Helper of the fatherless.
