The Wounds of a Friend Are Faithful
“But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.” 1 Peter 3:15 (NKJV)
So many times friends part ways because they don’t see eye to eye on all matters. We need to appreciate the goodness in each other and pray for a better understanding of the ways we differ. If we all thought alike the world would be a pretty boring place.
However, I do (and always will) hold on to one truth, and my friends are aware of my belief. Jesus Christ is Lord of all, was sent to redeem us by dying on the cross, and rose again. These friends also know I pray for them and that I would love to take them to church, if they don’t already have a church home. Above all things, I want those I care for to see the light of Jesus inside of me. So, I try my best to cultivate and encourage a desire within everyone for a personal relationship with God.
