A Proverbs 31 Woman of God Is Worth Finding!

Proverbs 31 PM

Who can find a virtuous wife?
For her worth is far above rubies. The heart of her husband safely trusts her; so he will have no lack of gain. She does him good and not evil
all the days of her life.” Proverbs 31:10-12 (NKJV)

Proverbs 31 is a gracious gift from God. It was included in the Bible for a reason, and it is not only for the well being of women. Men and children will also gain wisdom and understanding by reading this proverb. The benefits of finding a virtuous woman are well spelled out, so men would do well to seek a wife with the assets found within the description of this fine lady. (Children will gain a deeper appreciate of their mother)

In verse 10 the question is raised, “Who can find a virtuous wife?” Even in those days it was difficult to find a woman with integrity, skill, virtue, and wisdom.  However, they did exist back then and they do exist in the present age, although you may have to look a littler harder and wait a little longer to find this special woman.

Her worth and value is compared to rubies, stressing that she is far beyond the worth of these gems. Trust in a marriage is a strong and desirable trait, so having one by your side with whom you confidently credit with reliability and credence is worth seeking.  She is indeed a treasure to be found!

A husband’s heart is put at ease when he can rely on his wife’s virtue and strengths, while also trusting her with the most sensitive of confidences. He fears no evil intent and knows his welfare is her heart’s desire. Sadly, Samson did not marry a Proverb’s 31 woman. Delilah sought out the secret of his strength for she had evil intentions to use his secret against him. ( I am a single woman and Bride of Christ.  It is for Him I live to honor and serve. It is His confidences I seek to gain.)

The woman described in Proverbs 31 is a ……

Make God’s Desires Your Own

Delight Yourself In Lord:Give Desires

A desire accomplished is sweet to the soul, but it is an abomination to fools to depart from evil.”   Proverbs 13:19 (NKJV)

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” Romans 12:2 (NKJV)

A desire that is fulfilled is like candy to the soul, especially if your desire is shared with God and is aligned with His will. Why wouldn’t God grant you the desires of your heart, if they were His desires as well?  Don’t neglect asking the Father to reveal His will for your life.

There will be much pleasure in knowing that your passions in life are fulfilling each task He has created you to accomplish. Running the race to that glorious finish line will be so much easier if you are in His will.

So, if you find yourself on a rabbit trail or detour, it MIGHT be that you have, like a dog chasing a bunny, taken off and pursued something not of His will.  This desire of yours may …..

Apply Instruction And Knowledge

Apply Heart 2 Instruction

As newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the Word, that you may grow thereby, if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious.”                             1 Peter 2:2 (NKJV)

We begin our education from the moment we are born. In order to survive, we must acquire knowledge and information and then apply it to our lives. When we first start off in life we crawl, but it is not long before we take our first baby steps. Assuredly, all babies fall down a multitude of times before mastering the ability to walk. Thankfully, a tenacious perseverance propels them to get back up and try again until the new skill is mastered.

As Christians, we need to adopt this tenacity to persevere in our walk with Christ.  He asks very little of us, for all He wants is a forward movement.  Baby steps are just fine, until there is …..

There Is Power In God’s Name

PrvB 18 Fortified Tower

In our twentieth century Western culture, personal names are little more than labels used to distinguish one person from another. Our God has many names with many different and wondrous meanings.  They define His character, explain His ways, and give promises. His names identify Him.

Preparation Only God Can See

Corrie

We grow in our spiritual maturity when we learn to love unconditionally, especially those who ruffle our feathers. When we love those who irritate us, we are moving in the power of the spirit.

Faithfully, God prepares His children for the tasks He has planned for them to accomplish. He uses people and circumstances to train us and equip us for battle, as stated in Proverbs 27:17.

Relax And Let God Drive!

Relax:God In Charge

“A man’s heart plans his way,
but the Lord directs his steps”  Proverbs 16:9 (NKJV)

When we set out on a journey or road trip, we need a good map or a reliable GPS to get us to our destination. Before departing, some drivers may feel some anxiety. They worry about the unknown detours or the dangerous intersections that lie ahead and should be avoided.

However, if we submit our wills to God and lay down all issues of control, we can relax on our spiritual journey. Who better to drive the car and get us to our destination? Our Father knows all the roads that are under construction and the best routes to take. They may not be the quickest or easiest roads to travel, but He will be sure to drive us down the ones best suited for us.

Maybe releasing control is not easy for you.  Perhaps you prefer driving instead of sitting in the passenger seat. Being a driver allows you the ability to decide which direction and speed to take.  If you see a location that appeals to you, stopping is within your power.

Letting someone else get behind the wheel requires….

Does God Have Your Reverent Fear?

Prov 28_14 Respect:Stubborn

“For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools”  Romans 1:20-22 (NKJV)

We should have a reverent fear of the Lord, the Creator of the Universe.  Yes, He is our heavenly Father.  Yes, He wants to have an intimate relationship with us.  However, it would be foolish of us to forget His position.  We are His creation.

When you have an unfulfilled desire, do you complain and get angry with God? Have you grown weary of a trial and decided to give God a piece of your mind?  Imagine a tiny ant shaking his fist at YOU.  Magnify that concept and you have a picture of what you have been doing to God.  The crazy thing is, He….

Wisdom Tells Us To Hold Back Anger

Fool Looses Temper

He who is slow to anger has great understanding, but he who is quick-tempered exalts folly.”  Proverbs 14:29 (NAS)

Everybody loses his or her temper at some time.  For each of us there is a different trigger and reason for loosing control.    The book of Proverbs calls a man who looses his temper a fool.  Wisdom and patience is the key to battling your issues with anger.

We often loose our self-control; a Fruit of the Spirit, when something we want is delayed.  There is the old saying, “Good things are worth waiting for,” but there are also many Bible verses that mention patience and waiting as well.

Numbers 14:18 tells us that God is “slow to anger and abounding in love.”  We are to take God’s traits and strive to be imitators of Christ.  If God is slow to anger then we …..

Growing Seeds Of Patience Takes Patience

Bearjpeg

Patience is a virtue, which means it is a quality considered morally good. It is also listed in Galatians as one of the Fruits of the Spirit.  When you gave your heart to the Lord, all of these spiritual fruits were planted in your heart as seeds.  It takes time for seeds to mature, flower, and bear fruit. However, Holy Spirit faithfully keeps them watered so that they can produce fruit in your life. You may not be a naturally patient person, but the Spirit of God is able to produce it. Often it is perfected and grown in the soil of tribulation.

If you desire to gain understanding, knowledge, and wisdom you should work on maturing the seed of patience in your heart.  It takes time to grow this fruit, so it takes patience to grow the seeds of patience.

As you water this seed, you will find your love for others deepen while it builds up your ….

God Will Direct Your Steps

Lean Not Own Unders Pr 3_5

Some time in your life, God will direct you into unknown territory. He will most likely ask you to walk away from the comfort of routine and the known.  A door will open and you will hear God’s loving voice asking you to trust Him with your future.

Stepping out in a new direction, on a different path, to a new destination will take all the faith you have, but Proverbs 3:5-6 assures you that He will direct your path.  He will be your guide. You may not see very far ahead of you, but you will know where to place your feet so that you don’t stumble and fall.

Do not lean on your own understanding when He asks you to walk down a new path.  His ways and thoughts are so much higher than your own.  Think about Joshua and
